1. Cancellation
You can cancel any active subscription at any time from your Learner Dashboard. Cancellation immediately stops the next month's charge — no further payments are taken from your account. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then automatically ends. No partial refunds are issued for the unused days of the current period.
2. No refunds for change of mind
Because every subscription unlocks unlimited access to a creator's full library of Q&A, video lessons, live sessions, and avatar chat from day one, we do not issue refunds for:
- Cancelling mid-month or forgetting to cancel before renewal
- Not using the subscription enough
- Dissatisfaction with AI answer quality (AI limitations are disclosed in advance and you can try every mentor free before subscribing)
- Accounts terminated for violating the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Free previews, trial periods, or promotional credits (no cash value)
3. Limited exceptions where we do issue refunds
- Duplicate or accidental charges: full refund within 60 days.
- Service outage: if a mentor is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault, a prorated credit or refund for the affected period.
- Mentor removed by ToBeMentor AI: prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.
- Fraud or unauthorized charge: full refund after verification.
4. How to request a refund (exceptions only)
Email ToBeMentorAI@gmail.com with your account email, the mentor name, the charge date, and the reason. We respond within 5 US business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — most issues are resolved in 1–2 days. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension pending review. We respond to all chargebacks with transaction logs and our Terms of Service.
6. Sales tax
Where required, US state and local sales tax is added at checkout and is non-refundable separately from the underlying charge; refunds of a charge (under the limited exceptions above) automatically include the proportional tax.
